Douglas McConnaughey, M.D. attended the UC Davis School of Medicine where he graduated with honors in the top five percent of his class and he received his Internal Medicine training at the University of Washington.
Since then, he has become one of the most highly sought after Primary Care physicians in Orange County with 26 years at of experience at Edinger Medical Group.
Doug believes in evidence-based care, relying on the best available scientific evidence to guide treatment decision and ensure that care is effective is safe.
He is passionate about building lifelong relationships with his patients and he has a wide range of expertise, including Men’s Health, Sports Medicine and weight loss.

Edinger Medical Group has offices in Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach; however, Dr. McConnaughey’s Concierge Medicine Program runs primarily out of Newport Beach.

Can I visit any hospital or specialist?
Because we only accept patients with Commercial PPO health plans, you may visit any hospital or specialist of your choosing. Your doctor will make a recommendation if a specialist is needed.
